Skål Hong Kong’s Charitable Legacy and Future Commitment

From its earliest days, Skål International Hong Kong has sought to contribute to the community through charitable initiatives that reflect the values of friendship, service, and professional development in the travel and tourism industry. Our charitable work is both a source of pride and a foundation for the future.

Our charitable legacy includes the Rudy Choy Educational Fund, established in 1992 under the auspices of Skål International Hong Kong to honour Mr. Rudy Choy, a respected leader in the city’s travel and tourism industry and a Past President of the Club. For many years, the Club, through the Fund, had supported students with scholarships and grants in hospitality, travel, and tourism. This history remains an important part of our identity and legacy.

The Rudy Choy Educational Fund continues its mission today as an independent organization, and its ongoing good work deserves recognition and commendation.

Looking ahead, Skål Hong Kong is committed to reinvigorating its charitable endeavours. The Club is actively identifying new opportunities and cultivating partnerships that benefit the hospitality and tourism industry, ensuring that our philanthropic initiatives contribute to the industry's future in a lasting and meaningful way.

Young SKAL Initiative

Young SKAL is an initiative to provide invaluable opportunities for Hong Kong's hospitality students as well as those taking their first career steps to meet and network amongst hotel, travel and tourism decision makers.
